40 PROCEDURES ( VIEW ALL )
To help turn back the hands of time and to prevent lines and wrinkles from forming on the upper section of the face, the plastic surgery practice of Scott E. Kasden, M.D. in Argyle, TX is proud to offer BOTOX to local men and women. This nonsurgical procedure provides gorgeous results and is extremely popular among both men and women. BOTOX can make a big enhancement to dynamic lines and wrinkles, which are created by making expressions with the muscles contracting on the upper face. The lines disappear as the face relaxes, but dynamic lines can still exist. BOTOX is a filtered strain of botulinum toxin (type A) that temporarily blocks the movements of the muscle. To correct these dynamic lines, BOTOX is injected to soften the skin. BOTOX is most commonly placed by board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Scott Kasden between the brows, on the Crow's feet, and along the forehead.
"Dr Kasden is an amazing Doctor with a fantastic bed side manner. I went in for some Botox and he was so thorough; he did a perfect job on my placement and his prices are better then any other doctor in the area. He and his staff are excellent and efficient in what they do. Thanks Dr. Kasden I will definitely be back."

"24 yrs old, BA 3 years ago, 335 cc unders - I absolutely love Dr. Kasden, I first started going to him for my Botox and filler and one of the appointments I asked him about doing an explant. Even though I was just for Botox he spent another half an hour going over the explant process very thoroughly, that alone speaks volumes of him. The procedure was so easy and comfortable."

"He is Doctor and Surgeon You Can Trust! - Dr Kasden will talk with you at length about what your goals are and how he can help you achieve them. He will give you honest advice on what to expect every step of the way. This is my second surgery procedure with Dr Kasden. My first was a neck lift with coblation on my face to get rid of fine lines. I am so happy with both results. I have also received Botox many times- always with natural results. He is a surgeon that will follow up on his patients much more than any other doctor I have ever known. He really cares! Sharon, who runs the office, is a joy as well as being professional and helpful. I am grateful to have found Dr Kasden and his staff!"

"Great Results - So Happy - I have been receiving Botox from Dr Kasden for almost 3 years. He is always conservative and always achieving the natural results I request. I have had some “smile wrinkles” that have been bothering me and today I finally tried Juvederm. I should have tried it sooner! I am so happy with the results! I have heard the injections can sting quite a bit- HOWEVER- Dr Kasden used numbing cream and then a numbing shot. It was not bad AT ALL! I no longer dread picking up my dark iPad and catching those wrinkles in the reflection that made me look older than I feel. Sharon runs the front office with friendly professionalism! Thanks Dr Kasden!"

"For some years now, I’ve been looking to reduce the “signs of aging” and dial back a few years on my neck and lower face. My neck was sagging, slight jowling, and wrinkle bands etching on the skin around the front of my neck. Too much sun!! I kept the neckbands at bay for a few years with botox injections. My face is in good shape, round cheeks, not a lot of deflation. I wasn’t in a hurry, so over the past 4 years, I spoke to 3 different surgeons. A few talked about a face lift… but my face wasn’t showing the age like my neck and the jowl area. One day, I looked on the RealSelf website and came across a photo of a patient of Dr. Kasden who had done exactly what I was looking for, a clean defined neck and better definition around the jawline. I made an appointment with Dr. Kasden and took the photo of his patient I found on the website with me.1. Consultation. I showed Dr. Kasden the photo of his patient and explaining that is what I want done as well… a necklift and a little cleaning up around the jawline. He went into detail about the steps in the procedure to get that outcome, drawing a diagram of the side of a head and showed where the incisions would be made, the nipping, tucking and stitching. He was direct in telling me the area around the incisions would be numb for a while the nerves reconnected. Pricing on the procedure was very reasonable. 2. Procedure. I chose to have the procedure in the office, meaning no general anesthesia and being fully awake. Understand that Dr. Kasden must have gotten straight A’s in chemistry because the man is a genius when it comes to “mixing the right cocktail of medications” to bring you to a twilight state and keep you pain free during the procedure. I have no memory of the procedure even though I was awake. What I did have were sensations - pulling and pressure - but no pain.3. Post-procedure. Now you would think that after a procedure where a quarter of the side of your face (including the back half of your ear) has been severed/unattached from your head you would have pain during the recovery. The pain that I did experience was mild and lasted 36 hours. On the top part on the back of my ear where the stitches were, about a day before the stitches were to be removed, it hurt where my glasses sat on my ear. As soon as the stitches were removed, the pain went away. 4. Staff and Nurse who assists with procedures. Top notch, responsive, personable, sharp. Totally in tune with patients and Dr. Kasden. The team works together seamlessly.Right now, I am just about 5-1/2 weeks out from surgery. The incisions have pretty much healed, each day the feeling in the area comes back and I am able to stretch my neck up little by little. No real complications. Historically, when I heal from stitches, I can get small “lumps” along the incision and sure enough, on the incisions lines behind my ears, I got a couple of those lumps and Dr. Kasden fixed those and all is well."

BOTOX is ideal for individuals who want to smooth the appearance of dynamic lines on their face nonsurgically. BOTOX is also used as a preventive treatment even if you are younger — keep in mind how often you tend to make facial expressions. It is a great nonsurgical approach if you have forehead lines or noticeable furrows between the brows. It's also a solution for lines that form around the eyes. If you have deeper lines, an injectable filler may be recommended. Furthermore, if you are older with severe wrinkles, you may opt for a facelift. This offers a more dramatic result and it is more long term. The plastic surgery practice of Scott E. Kasden, M.D. offers facelifts, brow lifts, and eyelid surgeries as great options.
BOTOX injections are done as an outpatient procedure directly in our office. If it is your first time to visit us in Argyle, TX for BOTOX, we may perform the injection during the same appointment as your consultation. You will be asked to make various facial expressions using the upper face, such as squinting, frowning, etc., which will allow us to mark where the injections are to be placed. The skin will be cleansed and BOTOX will be injected through a fine needle, followed by a cold compress to help decrease discomfort, swelling, and bruising. You can request a numbing cream to make the procedure more comfortable, but it generally is not necessary. BOTOX injections typically take about 10 – 15 minutes, and you can return to your normal activities almost right away.
After the injection, you can resume your typical activities, but strenuous exercise should be avoided for at least 24 hours. You will be asked to sleep upright for the first night and to not touch your face, which may accidentally spread the treatment to other areas. The treated areas of the face may be slightly bruised, red, or swollen for a few days, but you will not experience any severe or lasting side effects. In most cases, it takes about 5 – 7 days before the full effects of BOTOX are visible. The results typically last 3 – 4 months. You should speak to your injector about how often to schedule touch-up appointments to maintain your results.
How much does BOTOX cost?
Your cost for a BOTOX treatment will depend on how much product is used. This will vary based on your needs and goals. During your consultation, your injector will create your personal treatment plan before he can estimate your costs. BOTOX can produce great results when performed by a skilled injector, but it can also be unsafe if done by someone without training, which is why it's better to avoid places offering cheap or knock-off injections. To save money, ask about the Brilliant Distinctions Rewards Program so you can earn points for BOTOX treatments and other Allergan products, like Juvéderm.
How long will my results last?
The results from BOTOX can last up to four months. Most patients schedule an appointment every season to refresh their results, but you may want to come back sooner. If you are getting BOTOX while you are younger as a preventive treatment, you may be able to schedule appointments further apart. After listening to your goals and creating your treatment plan, your injector will be better able to estimate when you should schedule your next appointment.
What's the difference between wrinkle relaxers and fillers?
Wrinkle relaxers (like BOTOX) and wrinkle fillers (like Juvéderm) are both popular cosmetic treatments that decrease wrinkles and smooth fine lines. BOTOX relaxes overused facial muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles, like frown lines (between the eyebrows), Crow's feet (in the outer corner's of the eyes), forehead wrinkles, and smile lines. Wrinkle fillers add volume under the skin to correct hollow areas and decrease the appearance of wrinkles on the surface. Depending on your goals, your injector may recommend BOTOX, injectable fillers, or a combination of both for a liquid "facelift."
Is BOTOX safe?
When administered properly, BOTOX rarely causes any complications. With that said, it is still very important to find someone who has experience in handling this medication. Too much of the product can cause an undesirable outcome. A skilled injector will use just enough of the medication to effectively freeze the facial muscles that cause wrinkles while leaving nearby muscles unaffected. One of the most popular cosmetic treatments on the market today, it is safe and approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). In addition to cosmetic uses, BOTOX is also used to treat medical conditions such as facial spasms, excessive sweating, uncontrollable blinking, and migraines.
Don't worry! You can laugh, smile, frown, and make any other expression you want without getting fine lines and wrinkles thanks to BOTOX injectable treatments. To smooth and prevent lines on the face, we invite you to schedule a consultation at the plastic surgery practice of Scott E. Kasden, M.D. in Argyle, TX to learn more about this amazing nonsurgical injectable.
